Celebrating Women In Construction Week

In honor of the 24th annual Women in Construction (WIC) Week, we want to take a moment to appreciate the women that help Sunstate operate smoothly day in and day out – some of whom have been here since the beginning!

WIC Week is hosted by the National Association of Women in Construction, a nonprofit founded in 1953 that’s been encouraging and supporting women in the construction field while bringing awareness to opportunities for growth.

This year’s theme is “Envision Equity,” which seeks to raise awareness of opportunities for women to enjoy a wide range of roles in the construction industry—from tradeswomen to project managers to administrative positions and even business ownership. Sunstate is proud to have talented women fill many of these key roles and more!

Thinking about getting started in construction? Here are some words of wisdom from the women who continue to be leaders and mentors through their dedication to the industry and helping others succeed.

At Sunstate, we believe in creating an internal culture that encourages opportunity, growth, empowerment, integrity, innovation, and teamwork where employees feel valued, respected, well compensated, and where they know they can develop long-lasting, satisfying careers.

Every employee’s voice is heard, and we work hard to preserve the close-knit feel of our family-owned roots, even as our national footprint grows from coast to coast. By putting our people first, Sunstate has proudly built a team of first-rate people who deliver the best rental experience in the industry.

Whether you rent with us, work with us, or simply hear of us in passing – know that the secret to 45 years of success has been putting people first.

Happy WIC Week™!
